Model 4806 Smart GPIB to Serial Interface Board provides both a GPIB-to-RS-232 interface for an RS-232 serial device and a RS-232 connector for transparent communication with the serial device. Smart firmware provides IEEE-488.2 responses which converts the serial device to an IEEE-488.2 compatible, GPIB device. Async, Standard and Smart modes for working with any serial device.
